Enjoy art from Michigan’s wine country

You are invited to a special winter benefit for the Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA) and the kickoff event for the Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association’s “Taste the Passion Weekend”. Art From Michigan’s Wine Country takes place on Friday, Feb. 1 from 6-8 p.m. at The Homestead Resort’s Mountain Flowers Lodge and features an invitational art exhibit, wine from the LPVA, and delectable small plates by The Homestead’s chef Jon Piombo.

Generously sponsored by The Homestead Resort, proceeds from the evening will benefit three GAAA programs for area children: art scholarships, after school art classes, and the summer migrant children’s art program. Participating artists include: Beth Bricker, Wendy Cheney, Celeste Crouch, Don Drabik, Harvey Gordon, Alex Helfers, Angela Saxon and Rodger Skinner.

$20 per person pre-purchase advanced reservation includes: One glass of wine, small plates menu and coffee. Additional wine is available for $4/glass or 3 for $10. Call The Homestead at 334-5100, to pre-purchase. Will call tickets will be held for your party at the door. Pre-purchase deadline is January 30.

Admission at the door on night of the event, $25 per person. Parking is available in The Homestead Village parking lots. Stay on for afterglow entertainment at Beppi’s in the Village. For more information visit www.glenarborart.org or call (231) 334-6112.
