Empire Museum celebrates Heritage Day

The Empire Area Museum Complex celebrates Heritage Day at the museum on Saturday Oct. 10, from 1-4 p.m.
Repeat feature this year include the fantastic collection of hand made Faberge type eggs made in Empire in the 1970’s by Helen Witt. A must see.
Vintage cars, tractors, hit and miss engines, and much more fill the grounds around the museum along with old fashion craft and food demonstrations making this a fun filled afternoon for the whole family.
Enjoy our woodworking shop, blacksmith shop, turn-of-the-century saloon, one room school, firehouse and barn filled with 15 pieces of horse drawn equipment.
The complex has just added a 44-foot addition to our Billy Beeman Barn with an 8-foot porch running it’s entire length.
Historic walking tours of the village will take place during the afternoon.
Music of all kinds will fill the air for your enjoyment.
A beautiful hand crafted quilt by the “Empire Quilters” will be raffled at 3:30 p.m. Tickets will be available.
