Empire hosts Artisan Marketplace

Upcoming Event

From staff reports

On Saturday, Nov. 25, Empire is making spirits bright this season by offering three locations to find handcrafted gifts from local artisans.

The Empire Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Artisan Marketplace featuring 20 artisans at the Empire Town Hall from 10 am-4 pm. In addition to the beautiful items available, customers will also be able to have a delicious snack or lunch prepared by local chefs, Mel and Fel.

Go right across the street to the library. The Friends of the Glen Lake Community Library are hosting another sale of gently used books in a wide variety of categories. There will be beautiful cookbooks and a large assortment of puzzles. The sale will be in the library’s program room, from 10 am-3 pm. There will also be a vintage jewelry sale in the library sponsored by the Glen Lake Woman’s Club, with proceeds benefiting Glen Lake Student scholarships.

After loading up with unique gifts, books, and vintage jewelry, head down Front Street to the Cottonwood Inn Holiday Market to shop for more artisan originals. The Cottonwood will host 10-15 artisans offering a variety of mixed media from 10-4. The Cottonwood is at 9583 W. Front St., formally known as the Roen Farm.

Visit Empire on Nov. 25. and find the perfect gifts for holiday giving.
