Dune Climb Concert features Paul Keller Orchestra

From staff reports

The Manitou Music Festival rings in its 21st year on July Fourth weekend with a free Saturday concert by the Northport Community Band, one of Leelanau County’s favorite groups. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to the lawn outside the Glen Arbor Athletic Club for a 4 p.m. concert of patriotic music. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Glen Arbor Township Hall.

The Festival’s annual free Dune Climb Concert returns on Sunday, July 10 at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Paul Keller Orchestra. The Paul Keller Orchestra is one of Michigan’s finest, oldest, most-respected and well-traveled jazz big bands. The Glen Arbor Art Association is thrilled to announce that this 15-member orchestra, including a vocalist, will perform at this year’s Dune Climb Concert in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Since its inception in 1989 by string bassist, composer and arranger Paul Keller, the Orchestra has maintained the highest standards of musical excellence and has provided top-quality jazz and entertainment to its loyal fan base.

Bring picnics, chairs, blankets and everyone you know to the Dune Climb Concert. Rain location is the Glen Arbor Township Hall.
