Dana Falconberry performs at free Find Your Park Concert
From staff reports
On July 28, visitors to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore can listen to the avant-garde folk stylings of Dana Falconberry, starting at 8 p.m. at the Platte River Campground. The concert is part of the free Find Your Park Concert Series in celebration of the National Park Service Centennial.
Intricately layered and multi-textured, Falconberry songs evoke the landscapes of the United States. Falconberry writes her own lyrics and has worked to capture the imagery of the Leelanau Peninsula in her music.
The National Lakeshore performance is part of Falconberry’s country-wide tour of the National Parks, celebrating the NPS Centennial. The singer grew up in Michigan and will perform songs from her album Leelanau.
All concerts are free with a park pass. Passes may be purchased at the Phillip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire, Michigan and cost $15 (per vehicle) for seven days or $30 for an annual pass.
