Chamber Music North plays Burdickville
Press release
The Spectrum Brass Quintet will play a concert at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church in Burdickville on the east shore of Big Glen Lake on Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m. as part of Chamber Music North’s village concert series.
Founded in the fall of 2008, the Spectrum Brass Quintet is dedicated to using great music as a foundation for unique collaborations. In its current concoction, the Spectrum Brass Quintet combines the power and grace of an elite brass quintet with the commanding presence of a concert pianist and the allure and sophistication of a soprano soloist. Adding the element of percussion to the mix, the Spectrum Brass Quintet creates a tremendous amount of unique color and emotional variety that promises to push the meaning of the “chamber music” experience to its limits.
Chamber Music North reaches out to classical chamber music devotees with concerts featuring notable musicians and chamber ensembles offering a variety of music from the canon of great chamber music repertoire. Established in 2007, it is Northwest Michigan’s first chamber music presenting organization.
The concert in Burdickville costs $20 ad the door and $8 for students.
