Artist in Residence Emily Bate presents

From staff reports

Emily Bate will discuss the music she made as part of her 2019 artist’s residency with the Glen Arbor Arts Center. The presentation is September 13, noon at the GAAC, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.

Each of the GAAC’s artists-in-residence gives a conversational overview of the residency. These presentations offer a chance to hear about the resident’s project, and the process they experienced during their two-week stay. Vocal arranger and composer Emily Bate’s residency will be spent composing and scoring music that is still in rough-draft form. While she is a GAAC AIR, Bate hopes to polish these compositions and ready them for an upcoming theater production in which she is involved. Emily lives in Philadelphia.

The GAAC artist-in-residence presentation are free and open to the public. For more information visit GlenArborArt.org.
