Anchor Day Festival returns to Empire

Empire’s annual Anchor Day celebration returns on Saturday, July 16—after a three-year hiatus.
Catch the parade at noon, sponsored by the Empire Area Community Center. The parade lines up between 11-11:30 a.m. at Johnson Park.
The Glen Lake Community Library holds a pop-up book sale from 1-3 p.m.
The Lions Club BBQ Chicken Dinner will be held from 1-7 p.m. at the Empire Town Hall. Enjoy grilled chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, potatoes and shortcake.
Join the Street Dance with live music by “Doc Probes” in front of the Empire Town Hall from 9-11 p.m. BYOB, chair and dancing shoes.
