For the past 18 summers, Riverside Shakespeare has entertained patrons in Traverse City, Leelanau and Antrim counties with performances of William Shakespeare’s plays. For this 19th season, Riverside Shakespeare will present a modern-day take on “The Merchant of Venice” set in Venice Beach, Calif.
Riverside Shakespeare performs “Measure for Measure” on July 15 at 7 p.m. at Studio Stage in Glen Arbor. Studio Stage is located behind Lake Street Studios. There is no charge, but donations are welcome.

This local production full of 21st century tweaks is coming to a summer stage near you. Riverside Shakespeare debuts its updated version of this family tragedy July 16 at Studio Stage in Glen Arbor.
