Angela Macke never wanted to be a farmer. “I grew up on a farm and I knew it was hard work,” she says. So here she is tending to her tea farm, Light of Day. She packages a number of different teas at the Demeter-certified biodynamic organic farm on M-72 west of Traverse City. What happened to change her mind? Why organic?
