Northwoods Hardware, an essential business, sells local hand sanitizer, offers local delivery
From staff reports
Northwoods Hardware, Home and Garden, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in Glen Arbor this year, is offering curbside pick-up and free local delivery to the Glen Arbor, Empire and Maple City area during the coronavirus stay-at-home order.
To reach the store, which is located on M-22 just south of downtown Glen Arbor, call (231) 334-3000. Current hours are Monday-Sunday from 9 am-4 pm.
In addition to the usual products backed by the Do It Best and expert supply chain teams, Northwoods Hardware also carries a limited quantity of locally-made hand sanitizer from Northern Latitudes Distillery in Lake Leelanau: 4 ounce bottles area available for $4.

Due to the coronavirus, management has decided not to open the Northwoods Home store next to the Leelanau Coffee Roasting Company in downtown Glen Arbor this year. Much of the product will be moved to the hardware store. Northwoods will once again provide “shipping” through UPS and Package Express Centers/PEC in the spring of 2020.
Starting approximately May 1, Northwoods will also launch an e-commerce website which will allow customers to order directly from Do It Best. Customers can ship products directly to the store or ship directly to their residence.
