New owners take over Leland’s Main Street Gallery
From staff reports
Main Street Gallery in Leland is kicking off the start of summer with an event, focused on introducing new owners Daniel and Anna Oginsky, and new manager of the Gallery – Cece Chatfield. The celebration, on Friday, May 24, from 5-9 p.m., will also include former Main Street Gallery owner Malcolm Chatfield and recognize his contribution to Northern Michigan’s art community.
This event will provide an opportunity to meet the Oginskys as they assume ownership of Main Street Gallery. Chatfield who has long been affiliated with the Gallery will now manage operations. The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, a selection of Northern Michigan wines, and live music.
“Main Street Gallery is an important part of Leelanau County and beyond. We are committed to maintaining the spirit of the Gallery while cultivating opportunities for artists, patrons, and the community to share and celebrate fine art,” said Daniel Oginsky.
“We love art and Leland has cemented its place in our hearts. Being part of Main Street Gallery helps us engage with and support the art community in a special place that we truly adore,” Anna Oginsky added.
Main Street Gallery, located in Leland, features work from more than 20 Michigan-based and national artists in various media including metal sculptures, oil and acrylic paintings, pastels, watercolors, woodcarvings and glass.
