M22 Challenge postponed until September 18
From staff reports
Organizers of the M22 Challenge, the popular run-bike-paddle triathlon in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and around the Glen Lakes, announced on April 15 that they will postpone this year’s race until September 18.
Last year’s M22 Challenge was canceled completely due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
“One of the greatest parts of the M22 Challenge has always been the energy of the event and the camaraderie we have for each other, racers, volunteers, and spectators alike,” wrote the organizers. “Given the limitations and regulations due to COVID, we could not organize an event in June that would be to our highest standard of quality and service for all of those involved.”
“We wish to only provide you with the best event that rivals the previous years and are excited to share the energy and experience of a new late-summer race date of September 18, 2021.”
Registered participants in the event, which was scheduled for mid-June, not have three options: take part on September 18; transfer the entry to June 2022; transfer the entry to another participant.
