Leelanau Wine and Food Festival

WineandFoodFestival-McFarlane.jpgThis year’s Leelanau Wine and Food Festival will take place on Saturday, August 9 from noon to 6 p.m. at Haserot Park in Northport. It’s one of the county’s two annual wine festivals and brings together 17 wineries, a brewery and a hard cider maker along with seven vendors featuring local foods.
The park is right on Grand Traverse Bay at the heart of Northport and there’s ample space for dancing to jumping music of The Fabulous Horndogs and blues artist James Armstrong.

As if that wasn’t already enough, there’s also the annual Northport Dog Parade at 1 p.m., which is one of those “you have to see it to believe it” events.
