Housing North holds “Close to Home” storytelling event

Upcoming Event
Housing North

From staff reports

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there was an incredible storytelling event awaiting you. The public is invited to attend “Close to Home,” a fundraising event held by the Northwest Michigan Rural Housing Partnership organization Housing North in collaboration with Here:Say Storytelling on Thursday, June 8, from 6-9 pm at the Orchard View barn at Jacob’s Farm on M-72 west of Traverse City. Be a part of this experience to learn about the meaning of “home.” You’ll find a link on our website to RSVP for this event. Join us for an evening of storytelling, music, and refreshments.

“Close to Home” will feature the musical stylings of Justice Thunderbird (Clint Weaner) from 6-7 pm, followed by the storytelling show starting at 7. Connor Miller will emcee, and the storytellers include: Rebecca Hancock, Joe Beyer, Al Everett, Andy Gale, and Heather Hudson. There will be appetizers and a cash bar. Attendance is free, but the suggested donation is $15.
