Glen Arbor Art Association holds children’s classes

From staff reports

The Glen Arbor Art Association kicks off this season’s exciting array of classes for children and young adults. Special family fun classes include “Family Plein Air Painting at Thoreson Farm” – a two-hour workshop to create an acrylic painting with your family, and a “Mother and Daughter in the Garden” class, for a unique plein air experience.

For children ages 6 – 10 there are many opportunities to spend a creative two hours doing a little bit of everything, from felting, cartooning, creating a 3-D theater, making insect prints, digital photography and so much more. All supplies are provided.

The GAAA is also offering Clay for Kids! once again – three-day sessions tailored for each age group to create artistic projects to take back home.

New this year – advanced classes for the tweeners. Special new classes are being offered for children ages 10-13 to explore drawing, including portraiture and seascapes, and painting with acrylics.
