Foothills Cafe holds overdose prevention & response clinic, Oct. 19

Talk of the Town, Upcoming Event

From staff reports

The Foothills Cafe & Motel, located at 7097 S. Dunn’s Farm Rd near Maple City, will host a free Overdose Prevention & Response clinic on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 7-8:30 p.m.

Do you know someone who might be at risk for an overdose? Join us and learn to save a life.

People can recognize an opioid overdose and respond to an overdose emergency. We’ll give you a free overdose rescue kit, including Naloxone. Naloxone is the antidote to opioid overdoses (pain relievers or heroin).

The training is free, the overdose rescue kit is free. You are welcome to bring a tax-deductible contribution to Harm Reduction Michigan.

Learn more at HarmReductionMI.org. Register for the event here. For more information contact harmreductionmi (AT) gmail (DOT) com.
