Empire holds Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail planning meeting

Upcoming Event

The Empire Planning Commission will hold a public input meeting on Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at the Empire Township Hall to discuss biking in the village, as part of the coming Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, which will stretch from the Leelanau-Benzie county line, through Empire and northeast to Glen Arbor and Good Harbor Bay. Empire’s priorities are to make biking safe for all users; accessible; friendly, and provide a way for bikers to experience the village.
