In search of a new land—some place where they may be free of man’s violence and war—the book Dune Dragonsfeatures a colony of peace-loving dragons who set out on a great journey across a vast ocean. The dragons settle in what is known today as northern Michigan, and they are delighted with their new home. But when a ragtag band of humans comes ashore to establish a settlement, the idyllic life of the Dune Dragons is threatened. And when Baby Zuzu is captured, the Dras are faced with a dilemma: will they be forced to leave their beloved, new home, or must they mount a ferocious, yet bloodless offensive, and drive the humans away?
Dune Dragonsis a delightful tale about a colony of peace-loving dragons. The admirable Dras described in these pages don’t eat humans, or any animals, for that matter. They are plant eaters, and they want nothing more than to live in harmony with their friends, the woodland creatures. But the elders remember a time when they’d been exploited—their ability to fly and spew flames harnessed by warring factions of humans—and they wanted no part of it. So, it is little wonder that they are wary when a band of humans comes ashore to establish a settlement. And their worst fears are realized when one of their younglings, Baby Zuzu, is captured.
