Benzie Solar Initiative launches in Frankfort
From staff reports
Do you want to save money on your electricity bill? Have you always wanted solar panels but never thought it was affordable? The recently created Benzie Solar Initiative will hold its monthly meeting at Stormcloud Brewery in Frankfort on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. You don’t have to be a Benzie County resident to join the group for some fall food and brew, while learning about: two recent solar installations in Benzie County, the group’s new energy conservation efforts, how you can contribute to this effort, and what upcoming projects may be in store.
The mission of the Benzie Solar Initiative (BSI) is to assist regional citizens (including neighboring counties) who want to attain a clean energy future through conservation, education, and outreach initiatives. BSI is interested in serving as a resource for interested citizens, groups, and organizations that impact our area. The Benzie Solar Initiative will seek active participants in all of these endeavors from people of all ages, lifestyles, and backgrounds.
This is an action-packed one-hour meeting, so that Stormcloud’s trivia night can continue right after… Check them out on Facebook or email benziesolarinitiative@gmail.com.
