Sailing at the Glen Lake Yacht Club since 1941

On July 18-19, the Glen Lake Yacht Club (GLYC) will host the annual Butterfly Nationals sailing regatta, which brings together both junior and adult sailors from all over the nation. This is the third time that the GLYC hosts the event. Both the regatta and GLYC have rich traditions and history, and for decades have played a large part of life “Up North” for hundreds of families.

Old Art Building in Leland features Artists’ Market

The 21st annual Artists’ Market will be held at the Old Art Building in Leland on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature more than 80 art booths on the lawn, on Cedar Street and inside the building.

The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is pleased to announce a very special book signing with Gijsbert van Frankenhuyzen, illustrator of the children’s books The Legend of Sleeping Bear and S is for Sleeping Bear Dunes on Thursday, July 12.
