Art Association’s Talk About Art interviews author Aaron Stander
Aaron Stander, retired educator and now author of six crime novels, reflects on his new calling in the world of letters at the March 7 “Talk About Art” interview, 7:30 p.m. at the Glen Arbor Art Association.
Stander’s home is Interlochen. But the heart of his Ray Elkins mystery series is set in the fictitious Cedar County, an amalgam of recognizable Leelanau County places and icons. Stander will talk about the quirky way in which his series came about and the ins and outs of publishing books in the 21st century. Stander is also known to many as the host of “Michigan Writers on the Air,” a monthly feature of Interlochen Public Radio.
Talk About Art, now in its fifth season, brings local and regional artists to the GAAA for conversations about art making, thinking and process. The series is open to the public without charge. For more information, please call (231) 334-6112.
