The Friends of the Library will hold their biennial Home Tour on Thursday, July 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $15.00 and are NOT sold at the homes. Tickets, which are limited, may only be purchased in advance from: Friends of the Library Board members, Members of the Glen Lake Garden Club, The Cottage Book Shop in Glen Arbor and the Glen Lake Community Library in Empire.

On the day of the Home Tour, any remaining tickets will be available for sale only at the Library in Empire.

This year’s selection includes:

The Stege Home: a true work of art designed and crafted by members of this artistic family. The home is an example of the Arts and Crafts period and features a gathering place and artist’s studio.

“Thyme Inn”: charming and inviting Bed and Breakfast in Glen Arbor. Wonderful antiques and décor have changed this historic home into a comfortable retreat “in town.” The lovely English gardens will make you linger. The Worsleys are your hosts.

The Missad Home: a nautical themed home, cleverly decorated by the owner. The attention to detail and coordination throughout will amaze and amuse you.
The Cruz Home: the “Tree House” sits high among the trees at The Homestead resort in Glen Arbor. This artist’s home displays many beautiful floral pieces and paintings — encompassing the outdoors and birds as well.

The Shook Home: a truly comfortable home on Big Glen Lake that was built for extended family to share. It was designed in detail for comfort and the view. The original 1926 guest cottage remains delightful and usable. Personal family touches are throughout.

Carpooling is recommended: parking is limited.
