The Friends of the Glen Lake Community Library invite you to attend their annual Vintage Book Sale, to be held at the Glen Arbor Township Hall on Aug. 12-14. The sale starts with a community favorite, the first night Preview Party. This fun evening is the way to get a first look at all the wonderful books, enjoy a silent auction featuring special books, a lot from Michigan authors, mingle with friends and enjoy wonderful appetizers and wine along with cookies and lemonade for our young buyers. Join us from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $5. The general sale will be held Aug. 13th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The sale will end on the 14th with a Bag Sale. From 9-11 a.m. you can purchase a bag for $5 and fill it to the brim with as many books as you can fit in.

The sale is meticulously organized, with the books arranged into nearly 50 categories. Hardback fiction is arranged alphabetically by the author’s name. Prices start at 50 cents for small paperbacks, $1 for trade paperbacks, and $2 for hardbacked books. Bargains abound for both the casual browser and more avid book collector. Separate sections of children’s and young adult’s books, movies (VCRs & DVDs), music CDs, games and puzzles are also available. These areas are all priced separately.

All profits from the sale will directly support the Glen Lake Community Library.
