Anchor Day
The annual Empire Anchor Day Parade, held the third weekend in July, commemorates the discovery of an anchor (now on display at the Empire beach) in July, 1977 by locals Doug Manning and Michelle Stryker.
True to the village of Empire, the Anchor Day Parade always goes around town twice.
