Narrows Marina
The McCahills of Littleton, Colorado —Tom, Carol, Conor, Megan and Neil — first came to Glen Lake in August of 1986 for a family reunion. They boated the entire week and stayed at the Glen Eden Resort on the north shore. The McCahills returned the next summer to Glen Arbor and have been enjoying water skiing, fishing and boating on beautiful Glen Lake every summer for over 20 years. You might say they “fell in love” with the Leelanau Peninsula. So when they heard the marina that Jack and Marcie Ferris owned and operated for 18 years was for sale, they took it on.

Read this excerpt from Josephine Arrowood’s story, “Narrows Minded: Marina wide open for summer,” which ran in the Glen Arbor Sun in June 2009:
Tom and Carol McCahill, and their three adult children Conor, Megan and Neil hail from Littleton, Colo., but have spent over 20 years vacationing on Glen Lake. Conor recalls, “We started coming to the old Glen Eden resort off Northwood Drive,” on the north shore of Big Glen. Although the property was eventually sold for residential development, the pair cherishes memories of their annual getaway, and the family gatherings that still continue on the lake each year.
