All adults who like to sing are invited to join the Glen Arbor Art Association’s Summer Singers, who meet every Tuesday from June 23 until the concert, August 11, at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church in Burdickville.
No tryout. Just come — once or twice or every time. Last year, 70 people participated from throughout Leelanau County, Traverse City and Benzie County. Fifty-eight sang in the concert — the best in choral music in a wide variety of styles.
The director is Dick DeVinney, longtime organist and director of music at Grand Rapids First United Methodist Church and fulltime music faculty member at Grand Rapids Community College.
