New owners get old school
published July 20, 2010

From staff reports

Mark and Jennifer Cundiff acquired the Glen Arbor Athletic Club in the old school hardware building last September from the Gretzemas and Walters. The Cundiffs had run a physical therapy clinic at the Athletic Club since 2004 — the year after it opened, and the same year they were married in Traverse City.

The couple, which met each other while working at a physical therapy clinic across from the Sears Tower in Chicago, are offering more variety in their Athletic Club classes, including Pilates and Zumba. They’ve also dropped prices significantly to make classes more affordable. Retirees dominate the club’s members, though ages range from 30 and up. And the Cundiffs see high schoolers, as well, for physical therapy. Jennifer specializes in treating dancers and performing artists, but currently has her hands full with their two boys, Dylan, 4, and Bryce, 2.

  1. [...] The Leelanau Enterprise — the county’s paper of record — published a story in last week’s edition titled “Healthy Leelanau” which highlights Glen Arborite Mark Cundiff, who teamed with his wife Jennifer to establish Enhanced Physical Therapy at the Glen Arbor Athletic Club in 2004.
