Michelle Jahraus exhibits at Glen Arbor Art Association
From staff reports
The Glen Arbor Art Association is hosting an exhibition of acrylics by Michelle Jahraus August 29-30 at the Art Association, at 6031 S. Lake Street in Glen Arbor.
“What color is it?” This has always been Jahraus’ first question in deciding on a bike, cat, sweater, car, house, etc. A double major at Wheaton College in art and geology prepared her to investigate and illustrate all types of natural beauty. She honed her painting skills doing murals in businesses and homes for a time. Now she has turned those skills toward portraying the natural beauty of Leelanau County. Her studio and gallery, Duck to Swan Gallery is located in nearby Cedar.
Exhibition hours are: Friday, August 29/Opening Reception from 6-9 p.m. with additional gallery hours Saturday, August 30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information call 231-334-6112.
